The International Fresh Produce Safety Symposium (IFPSS) is a world-class symposium that will bring together the fresh produce safety community from Australia, New Zealand, USA and beyond for two days of engaging and inspiring sessions presented by leading international and regional experts. Global food safety practitioners, CEOs, food technologists, academics, researchers, regulators, growers, agtech and supply chain specialists are invited to attend this inaugural in-person only event in Sydney Australia on Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 August 2024.
This year’s special keynote speaker is Frank Yiannas; renowned food safety leader and executive, food system futurist, author and professor. Frank is the former Deputy Commissioner for Food Policy and Response at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and spent 30 years in leadership roles with two industry giants: Walmart and the Walt Disney Company. Throughout his career, Frank has been recognised for his role in strengthening food safety standards in new and innovative ways, as well and building effective food safety management systems based on modern, science-based and tech-enabled prevention principles.
